Cultural Day 2014

Author Katie Daniels
Join us for the 19th annual Cultural Day festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014. This is our day to share our beautiful island and our rich Gullah-Geechee heritage. We invite you to taste our delicious low-country cuisine, listen to good music and move to West African rhythms.

Hog Hammock Public Library will have a booth at the festival, and our special guest will be Katie Daniels, author of Confronting Racism in America. The Darien, Ga., native shares her experiences as a U.S. Census enumerator. She will be signing and selling her books, so be sure to stop by.

The library also will have our Sapelo Island Storyteller Puppets, crafts, and we'll have our used books sale. Hardback will be $1; paperbacks will be 50 cents.

Cultural Day is sponsored by the Sapelo Island Cultural and Revitalization Society, Inc. Tickets must be purchased in advance. There are four ways to purchase tickets.
